Summary
On behalf of our client, Manpower is seeking to recruit a Team Lead (Assistant Manager grade) to join the Network
and Security Team. This Team forms part of the Technology and Information Security section, and its core function is the provision and maintenance of a redundant, secure and reliable network for the company's employees and its IT Infrastructure. The Network and Security Team, strives to provide the right secure office tools to its users to ensure the best value and solutions according to the company's operational requirements and industry
standards.

Job Responsibilities
:


Team Leadership:

  • Lead daily operations of the Network and Security Team, establish sprints, and guide team members.
  • Ensure service quality and compliance with industry standards (ISO27001:2022).
  • Manage and lead strategic projects, maintaining project timelines and documentation.
  • Regularly report progress to the Head of section.
  • Coordinate team resources for continuous technical support.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and sessions to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate projects with third-party suppliers, ensuring requirement gathering and project completion.
  • Foster team spirit and develop team members.

Technical:

  • Manage and maintain IT systems, ensuring stability and reliability.
  • Administer office and Microsoft SQL database applications, Microsoft 365 email communications.
  • Support security communications equipment (CCTV, Access Control, PABX).
  • Manage system applications, server, and network hardware upgrades.
  • Maintain IT systems documentation and ensure backups and system health monitoring.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions, propose system improvements, and provide second-level support.
  • Liaise with hardware, software maintenance, and development providers.
  • Participate in IT procurement, review SLAs, and supervise ICT support officers.
  • Produce technical design ideas, provide after-hours maintenance support, and assist in court on IT matters.

Information Security:

  • Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate system security tasks, monitor security alerts, audit logs, and manage incidents.
  • Conduct security tests/audits and investigate risks.
  • Implement and manage the SIEM system, IT security tools, and deliver security awareness training.
  • Research and implement new security technologies.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery:

  • Execute and maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
  • Assess and coordinate revisions for technological and organizational changes affecting BCP and DRP.
  • Train employees on BCP and DRP responsibilities and ensure annual testing of all technical components.
  • Document policies, standards, and procedures related to IT security, risk, and business continuity.

Requirements :

The chosen candidate must be in possession of a University Degree at (MQF level 6) in Computer Science coupled with 5 years experience (incl. 1 in a senior role) relevant to this post.
OR
in possession of a diploma at (MQF level 5) in Computer Science coupled with 7 years experience relevant to this post.

Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred.

The selected candidate must have experience in maintaining and managing an IT Infrastructure in the following areas: Network (LAN, WAN), Storage and Backup, Active Directory and Windows Systems Administration.

Must have knowledge and understanding of Network Optimization Solutions.

An advanced understanding of IP Networks, network components and troubleshooting using tools to diagnose and resolve issues.

Expertise in anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering.

Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.

Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods.

Experience in developing contingency plans to deal with organizational emergencies.

Experience in industry technologies such as CCNA and MSCA would be considered an asset.

Being proactive and showing a positive attitude towards the duties and colleagues.

Be expected to be confident in managing highly complex processes, involving crossfunctional teams.

Be confident and articulate communicator capable of driving strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary functions.

Be strong in analytical, problem solving and planning skills.

Be customer-service oriented.

Be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Be a good communicator in both the Maltese and English Language.
